What’s overseas ministry?
“Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.
And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, ‘All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth, Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.’ ” Matthew 28:16~20
Jesus Christ was crucified for our sins, and was resurrected after 3 days. After his resurrection, and before he ascended to heaven, he called his disciples and told them to meet him on the mountain of Galilee, where he told them these words from Matthew 28:18~20.
After Jesus ascended, the disciples told the good news (if a person believes that Jesus is the Lord, he will be saved), and went overseas to tell the Gospel.
These words from the Bible are not only for the disciples, but also for us, Christians. We received God’s order, received God’s words, and have been going out to all over the world to share the Gospel.
